Most training management systems, including Arlo, Administrate, and accessplanit, were built by software teams. TryTami was built by the team that ran DevelopIntelligence, a technical training company that served Fortune 500 clients and was acquired by Pluralsight. Every workflow in the product maps to a problem we had on a Monday morning.
AI is native, not bolted on
AI instructor matching and the Ask TAMI assistant ship in the core product and are included in every plan. Legacy platforms like Administrate and Training Orchestra do not offer native AI instructor matching, and most vendors treat AI as an add-on module.
Live in weeks, led by the founders
Onboarding is run by the founders, with catalog, instructor, and schedule import from CSV, and most customers are live in about two weeks. Enterprise TMS deployments from Training Orchestra or Administrate are typically IT-led projects measured in months.

The team behind TryTami
Before TryTami, Kelby Zorgdrager founded DevelopIntelligence, a hands-on technical training company that became a go-to partner for Fortune 500 engineering teams. Pluralsight acquired it, and Kelby went on to run Pluralsight's instructor-led training division. Dave Murphy was part of the DevelopIntelligence team through the acquisition and joined TryTami as Co-Founder to lead revenue and go-to-market.
We didn't theorize the chaos of running ILT. We lived it for over a decade: the spreadsheet workarounds, the double-booked instructors, the late invoices, the extra coordinator hired every quarter to keep the schedule from falling apart. TryTami, founded in 2025 in Lafayette, Colorado, is the platform we wished we'd had. Bobby Taylor leads engineering as CTO.
